This trophy is presented each year, beginning in 2007, to Nebraska Region's top RallyCross Driver of the Year. How the trophy is awarded: The winner is decided by accumulation of points from designated events throughout the year, in addition to points awarded for finishing position at one National Challenge event (since there are currently no Divisional Championship events) and at the National Championship event. There are a designated number of events each year, determined by the Board of Governors, which count toward the earning of the RallyCross Driver of the Year Trophy. The National Challenge event which counts towards RallyCross Driver of the Year is also designated by the Board of Governors. The lowest score of the qualifying events is dropped, thus allowing a member to miss an event (or finish poorly due to mechanical problems) and not be out of the competition. Points are explained in more detail below the list of winners. |

RallyCross PointsEach entrant is awarded points for finishing position in class as follows: 10 for first, 9 for second, 8 for third, etc. The event master is given 10 points, as he is not allowed to participate. Points are also awarded for participation in a designated National Challenge event and the National Runoffs. Finishing position points are the same as for local events; 10 for first, 9 for second, etc. In addition to finishing position, the entrant is also given points for the number of competitors in class who finished below them. There is a maximum of 10 "competitor" points, therefore, there is a maximum possible total of 20 points per event which can be earned from the National events. | ||
