How the trophy is awarded: The selection committee consists of the last three winners* of the national trophy, last three winners* of the George Gunther Memorial Trophy, and a race worker appointed by the Regional Executive. *The last three individuals who won the award. About the trophy: The trophy has seen several multiple year winners. Jack Beck, who was inducted into the Nebraska Auto Racing Hall of Fame in 2006, was voted this trophy by his peers in four consecutive decades. |
